About this Biome
Between The Tundra, to the north, and the Deciduous Forest, to the south, lies the Northwestern Coniferous Forest. This biome forms a ring around the northern hemisphere, just below the Tundra. The Northwestern Coniferous Forest consist mostly of conifers. It is home to a distinctive group of animals. It is located on the pacific coast of northwestern United States and Canada. Because of its lush vegetation, this biome is often called a "temperate rain forest."
